Social Media & Adult Trainings (SMAT)
The project Social Media & Adult Trainings (SMAT) (GRU - 12 – P – LP – 300 – CJ – DE) is implemented by the Romanian RWCT Association within the Lifelong Learning Programme, Grundtvig Learning Partnerships, in collaboration with:

Goals: The project aims to create, through mobilities and ongoing discussions, a forum in which adult education trainers can discuss the teaching applications of social media.
The main objective of this learning partnership is to improve the quality of adult education and to strengthen European cooperation between adult education providers. Together, the project partners will develop an innovative approach to sensibly utilising social media (Facebook, Twitter, Xing...) and other Web 2.0 elements (Youtube, Google Maps...) within trainings.
Objectives:
- to research, analyse and evaluate the existing situation in using social media in adult education
- to jointly develop and test a social media-based teaching concept
- to collect best examples of using social media in adult education.
Types of activities:
- research (see reasearch results),
- development and testing of teaching units based on social media,
- workshops for trainers about using social media in adult education (the Moodle platform used within the workshops),
- project meetings.
